Masters of Horror: The Anthology Interview Scott Goriscak

Interview with Scott Goriscak Where did you come up with your anthology idea? I keep both a dream diary and an idea book. This story is just one of many I presently have in this book. I currently have more stories ideas than I have hours in a year to write. Writers block has never been an issue for me time to write has always been my obstacle. How long did it take for you to put together … Read entire article »

Masters of Horror reviewed by Neil Colquhoun

“The ‘Masters of Horror’ anthology is a collection of dark, disturbing and macabre tales which cover a wide range of subjects. On offer for your reading pleasure are tales of vampires, ghosts, bloody murderous revenge and an alien (I think!) There’s a vampire tale, ‘Truth Hurts’ by Carole Gill, which offers up a twist on the usual image of the undead. Scattered throughout the book are tales of revenge, such as ‘Wounds’ by Joseph Mulak where a family have to live with the horror of the death of their son, ‘The Ladies of the Scale’ by B.L. Morgan which starts out as a straightforward tale about death then turns into something fantastical where the main character has to endure a living hell and ‘Something Unpleasant’ by Richard Barnes about a long dead creayure exacting revenge on a modern day horror. Facebook and Myspace

I just removed all friends from Facebook and left only family there. I have never liked Facebook and I dislike Myspace as well. What’s with all the game apps people are getting right into. Everything I visit my profile there are a heap of applications demanding I join them. I also find the friendships are not really friendships anyway and most people want you to buy their books/music/stuff. Most never reply to messages sent to them. So, I figured, why bother? At least Masters of Horror is not like that. This is a community that is strong and bonds can be forged. I like it there more than any other networks. And we all simply like the same stuff: horror. … Read entire article »
