Editing The Armageddon Shadow

Editing Editing Editing Editing Editing Editing Editing Editing Know what I mean? The Armageddon Shadow is half completed and I have edited away 6,000 words, so novel is now down to 100,000 words but I am aiming for 95,000 as a final word count. The book has been through so many edits, it’s just not funny. This beast started at 132,000 words and contained two unneeded story lines, and yes they did tie in together at the end, but I figured they weren’t really needed and too many characters could be distracting. I sure didn’t want to put an Appendix in the back listing characters and background LOL. Oh well, back to the grind. Excerpt from Resurrection Child

writer113 on June 23rd, 2008 I am busy editing my latest book, a Cthulhu Mythos work and came across a description I enjoyed. I thought you might like it as well: The meeting room stretched out around him reminding him of school halls where the head master stood up every Monday morning and discussed matters, not that Damon ever listened. Soft mats covered the floor. Adorning the walls were large scale paintings of Cthulhu and the Old Ones, some looked like scaly beasts and others stick insects with bloated bellies.
