Getting out the word

facebook_advertMarketing is a bitch. It is damn time consuming and when in marketing mode, it is near impossible to slip into writing mode. I had to force myself to write a flash story. It took hours. I had thought the two would go hand in hand, but with a new job and pressure, it’s hard to separate the two. So in marketing mode, I made an advert for Facebook, re my fan page, and I’ve found some neat people that way. Last night I made this advert for my book. I like it. Hope you guys do as well.

3 nights ago I read the prologue of The Last Church on the computer and save a WAV file. Trying to find a free place to convert it was near impossible. Thanks to Mark Deniz for knowing of a place and giving me the link.

Listen to the prologue of The Last Church read by me. http://bit.ly/KSq8b then grab a print copy: http://is.gd/4F4YO in these countries: NZ / AU / US / UK / FR / JP / CA / DE.

I few weeks ago I sent out info packs to a few independent bookstores and have not heard a thing since. A friend went into one store but they claimed not to even have gotten the package. They did look me up on the web.

I have discovered that there are a lot of people who won’t or can’t, for personal reasons, shop online. For these readers, I have opened a Trade Me shop for the book.  Although listings end in 5 days I will keep it going to see the response. This way people can buy the book and deposit the money into my account and I will purchase the book online for them. I love shopping online. Sorry this option is only available for New Zealanders. I am looking at other options.
